Student Internships

Sand Road is delighted to serve as a work/study host for college or high school students who are required to complete a certain number of hours of hands-on experience toward a degree or diploma. These positions are usually paid and run from one to two semesters, and sometimes longer.

Normally we have two to four students with us each semester. Unless they are in a veterinary technology academic program with specific requirements, students usually start in an animal care position.

Our interns must be at least 16 years old and must provide references from teachers or previous employers.
