Payment

Veterinary medicine has advanced to such a degree that small animal owners have new, and often expensive, options for the care of their ailing pets. As the cost of human health care has escalated, so too has the cost of veterinary care. There are a number of reasons why, among them the availability of more effective drugs and diagnostic tools.

In most cases, fortunately, the cost of keeping a pet healthy is relatively reasonable. But a medical emergency can lead to a major financial commitment.

We make every effort to keep our clients apprised of potential costs, so that they, in turn, can make informed decisions about the care and treatment of their pets. Our staff is happy to provide estimates for routine services. And our patient care coordinator, Angela Gibbs, is always available to discuss the cost of hospitalization or unexpected surgery. She can be reached at (860) 824-5223 Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., or e-mailed at angela@sandroadanimals.com

Our hospital policy is payment in full at the time of services. We make a rare exception for medical emergencies, where unforeseen costs can quickly escalate. Angela will provide daily updates on hospital charges and, in cases of genuine need, can set up a payment plan to spread payments out over several months

We accept cash, care credit, checks, or major credit cards:

As an added convenience to our clients, we offer Care Credit and we will soon offer the option to pay online.
